“SHINE YOUR LIGHT SCHOLARSHIP”
SERVICE & LEADERSHIP
The Five16 Foundation’s “Shine Your Light Scholarship” for Service and Leadership was established to recognize and support graduating seniors who demonstrate servant leadership, strong character, and a commitment to making a positive impact through service in their school and community.
This scholarship reflects the mission of The Five16 Foundation to encourage students to “shine their light” by giving their time, energy, and leadership in service to others. It honors students who lead by example and make a meaningful difference through volunteerism and involvement.
This year, one (1) $516 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior of Pell City High School to assist with costs associated with their post-graduation plans.
To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must be actively involved in school-sponsored service or leadership organizations such as FBLA, Interact Club, Key Club, or other recognized service-based groups. Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to volunteerism, leadership, and community impact.
Awarding of The Five16 Foundation Shine Your Light Scholarship is contingent on several criteria, including a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, being in good standing with the school, submission of a complete application, and plans to pursue a college degree, trade or technical certification, or military service following graduation.
Scholarship recipients are expected to use their opportunities wisely, uphold a high standard of character, and continue a life of service and leadership beyond high school.
Other criteria considered will include a student’s commitment to service, total volunteer/service hours, consistency of involvement, leadership and initiative, academic progress, and overall impact within the school and community. The scholarship recipient will be announced at Pell City High School’s awards ceremony.

ATHLETIC LEADERSHIP
The Five16 Foundation’s “ Shine Your Light Scholarship” for Athletic Leadership was established to recognize and support graduating seniors who demonstrate strong character, perseverance, leadership, and a commitment to making a positive impact both on and off the field of competition.
This scholarship reflects the mission of The Five16 Foundation to encourage student-athletes to “shine their light” through discipline, teamwork, and service to others. It honors individuals who lead by example and represent their school and community with integrity.
This year, one (1) $516 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior of Pell City High School who has participated in school-sanctioned athletics.
To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must have participated in one or more school athletic programs and demonstrate consistent dedication, work ethic, and sportsmanship. Applicants should show leadership through team involvement, personal example, and commitment to improvement.
Awarding of The Five16 Foundation Shine Your Light Athletic Scholarship is contingent on several criteria, including a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, being in good standing with their athletic program and school, submission of a complete application, and plans to pursue a college degree, trade or technical certification, or military service following graduation.
Scholarship recipients are expected to uphold a high standard of character, demonstrate respect for others, and continue to lead through their actions both in athletics and in life.
